You mentioned making a switch to '24/7 vintage life' in your LJ profile - I'm just curious, what does that mean exactly? Like, what kind of stuff would you do if you switched?
I just mean being one of those vintage gals who dresses vintage every single day, including period hair. I’m always vintage-inspired but I’m not always full out vintage!
I would love that skirt but I think it would be too small for me :( I fit in size four sometimes but I never know about H&M sizes
well the measurements are there, perhaps measure yourself to see? i totally understand what you’re saying about h&m’s sizes, i can be a 2-6 depending on the garment!

well, it technically still fits me - i can zip it up, and it isn’t straining - but the length is too short now for my personal liking. my legs have grown and i don’t like showing too much of them! but of course, that’s just my opinion and it would look lovely on someone who does like that style, or with a bathing suit (which is how i wore it once it started getting short until now when i realized i don’t like it that short on me anymore)!
I like the points that you made in your political post; kudos to you for actually doing legit, in-depth research! So many people don't even bother to check anything at all and just blather on about whatever they heard from their friend (which probably isn't accurate). I would still much rather have Obama as president than Romney; I honestly do not like that guy.
And you’re properly entitled to that opinion! I just get frustrated that people mainly support Obama because he’s “cool,” or because what he says sounds like it would be a good idea but on closer inspection it really is detrimental to our country (in terms of money or constitutionality or any reason - you get the idea). People take things at face value and I can’t swallow that.
how do you and your family usually spend christmas eve/day? :)
We tend to spend either the night of Christmas Eve or Christmas day with my entire extended family. Everyone cooks something, we all open presents, and we just generally spend our time together. I prefer when we do it on Christmas Eve, since Christmas day is my mother’s birthday and I think she should be able to stay in her own home. Whatever night we don’t do that on, we’ll have a very small dinner at my house for just my family and my mom’s mother.
Of course on the morning of Christmas, we all go downstairs to open presents in my house. My dad will be nearly back from church by the time my sister and I come downstairs, and Mom will still be in her robe sipping coffee. We always put cinnamon buns in the oven to eat for Christmas morning, and we’ll bring our tea or coffee into the family room where the presents are arranged around the tree. It’s quite lovely!
That sounds really fun! I've always loved Art History :) Are you double-majoring in Art History and Classics, then, or is it an already offered major? Sorry for all the questions; I am trying to work out where I'll go to college, and Berkley is on my list, so I wanted to get an opinion on it :)
I’m a double major! It’s perfectly fine. In all honesty, there’s huge competition to be admitted at Berkeley. After you do, it’s nonstop work and if you’re humanities, you won’t be the majority here :3 I don’t have a problem with that, but I know some people may be uncomfortable! Berkeley has been the absolute best experience of my life and I couldn’t love it any more, though I know the workload could be too much for some people.
You're an Art History major, right? What exactly are you learning? Are you knowledgeable in a specific time period of history, or are you just studying art?
I’m both Art History and Classics, yes! I learn all varieties of art at the moment - next semester I’ll be studying medieval art and Indian art. I haven’t yet chosen a focus for my Art History studies, but I will eventually have a specific period or type of art that I study most! I just haven’t decided yet.
