how do you and your family usually spend christmas eve/day? :)
We tend to spend either the night of Christmas Eve or Christmas day with my entire extended family. Everyone cooks something, we all open presents, and we just generally spend our time together. I prefer when we do it on Christmas Eve, since Christmas day is my mother’s birthday and I think she should be able to stay in her own home. Whatever night we don’t do that on, we’ll have a very small dinner at my house for just my family and my mom’s mother.
Of course on the morning of Christmas, we all go downstairs to open presents in my house. My dad will be nearly back from church by the time my sister and I come downstairs, and Mom will still be in her robe sipping coffee. We always put cinnamon buns in the oven to eat for Christmas morning, and we’ll bring our tea or coffee into the family room where the presents are arranged around the tree. It’s quite lovely!
